I can never get beyond Dave. "Dave the cat" as a full name, think it suits a girl cat better though

We had an Ozzie. Dad decided on the name as a joke after Oswald Moseley and his black shirts. He turned out to be a she! The joke was on Dad then. We kept her name!

He looks like ours when he was a kitten. He’s called Toffee (we renamed him, RSPCA name Denzel).
We often wish we’d called him Trouble.
We have another black cat called Treacle.
Also like Mischief, Mr Mistoffelees and food names like Oreo.

I don't get why people are suggesting Ebony, Coal, Midnight etc. It's a black cat. Snowball or Chalky.

You don't call a black cat after something that's black, that's just daft. You call it after something white.
