To think this is a little disrespectful?

My mum bought DB, his girlfriend and DN presents for Christmas. They were struggling for money this year and stressing because DN birthday is 3 days before Christmas too. My mum bought alot for all 3 of them, toys, Pjs, clothes, toiletries, basically enough to get them through a few months at least, til they got back on their feet. And alot of toys for DN that they wanted to buy but couldn't afford. My mum asked them if it was ok to buy all this stuff beforehand and they said yes it would really help (especially as they hinted for a few things)
So Christmas day they came around, opened their gifts and we all went for food and then came back for a couple hours. They left but said there wasn't enough room for all the gifts in the car (I don't see how, I think they just couldn't be bothered to carry it as we live on the top floor of a flat and DB is very lazy) so they said they would come tomorrow (boxing day) to come get the rest. They still haven't come and not even mentioned coming over. And when my mum has looked, they've taken their own gifts but left everything of DNs. They both drive, and it's a 20 min drive away for them, so not that far. My mum feels a little upset, as if they don't appreciate it? I also think it's a bit rude, especially as they made out they didn't have the money for Christmas and agreed that my mum could buy all this stuff and now it's just sitting there. What do you think?

I'd ask them directly when they are coming to collect the rest of their stuff.
It does seem odd that they prioritised their own gifts over the child's, but it might be best just not to get into it.
