AIBU to donate a Christmas pudding to a food bank after Christmas?

I have an unopened Christmas pudding that expires April 2019- we had guests over so I bought two different desserts and no one wanted the Christmas pudding. There’s no way we’ll eat it. I was thinking of donating it to a food bank, it’s a nice pudding and is microwaveable so doesn’t need to use loads of electricity steaming on a hob. It will otherwise go to waste. But part of me feels like it’s not quite right, like an afterthought?

So MN jury- AIBU to give it to a food bank?

Yes, why not? I like Christmas pudding and would eat it anytime.

Far better to give it to a foodbank than throw it away!

Absolutely not, I would eat it all year round and be pleased to receive it 👍

Go for it. Pudding of any kind is usually a shortage in our foodbank so anything appreciated. We have lots of donated xmas pud from last few weeks - not all of which will go out before the season ends.

I mean your not being unreasonable by my statement of 'absolutely not' 🙂

Does it contain alcohol? If so, many food banks won't take it.
