To think Seedlip alcohol free is massively overrated and overpriced?

DH celebrated a year alcohol free on Boxing Day and plans to stay that way. I had read on forums that Seedlip alcohol free gin was a top sophisticated af drink and treat and bought him a bottle. Not cheap at £27.99
Possibly I should have chosen the citrus which would have been my choice for me but I thought he would prefer the spice. It has way too much cloves in and tastes like dental mouthwash. It's vile.
And that price ? Remember a substantial part of the price of a bottle of actual gin involves a substantial % of tax which presumably doesn't apply to af drinks.
He's currently off chancing his arm demanding a refund from Waitrose on grounds of it being disgusting rip off. Grin

Seedlip is a stroke of marketing genius and we should all applaud the sheer brass balls of the makers. Its not even squash. Its just really expensive strongly flavoured water.

I've tried the Garden one (pea water) and Spice (clove water), they're both pretty grim but agree they make a welcome change to most non alcoholic drinks which are sugary.

I am watching the Seedlip brand to see how long it lasts, surely people will all have to cotton on eventually to the fact that it's just water...

Disneys I once had professional dealings with a very wealthy alcoholic from a part of the world where alcohol is illegal. He used to drink Miss Dior ShockSad and Eau Sauvage.

DH has wrangled a £10 gift voucher as I didn't have the receipt. He's happy!
