Yes.

Santaclarita · 25/12/2018 09:12

I think she's being lighthearted. Grin

My mum probably wished the same in fairness. I grew so quickly, I was taller than her by 9.

Kpo58 · 25/12/2018 09:14

You can borrow mine. So far she has tantrumed at getting dressed, her brother playing with a toy that she wasn't playing with, that the baby fell out of the Duplo pram, breakfast and no reason at all. I've sent her back to bed for now. I think that she is still tired. Hmm

mumisalliam · 25/12/2018 09:23

I cried earlier because my second and last baby got her second tooth through
It's just going too fast I can't cope 😢

Dotty1970 · 25/12/2018 09:29

bridgetreilly

Yes.

omg santa should have brought you a sense of humour

ElainaElephant · 25/12/2018 09:30

Yanbu. I always threatened to stop feeding mine, to stop them from growing.

For some reason they didn't like that idea Confused

Can't think why...

hidinginthenightgarden · 25/12/2018 09:44

I have told mine so many times to stop growing. They reckon they can't help it Hmm

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 25/12/2018 09:46

Mine too are also very disobedient and have refused to stop growing when I tell them to.

As a result all but the youngest now tower over me. And I suppose he'll just carry on growing too.

So naughty.

Hoppinggreen · 25/12/2018 09:48

Yanbu
My smallest baby is 10 and for the first time in 13 years I had nobody to take to see Santa. Once dd “found out” she agreed to go along with it for her brother ( think she actually wanted to anyway) so she’s been visiting Santa into her teens but now DS doesn’t want to either that’s it

Malibucyprus · 25/12/2018 09:55

Mine are 14 and 11, so I feel your pain.

Good thing is they both keep up the pretence (for me Grin ) and still run down to see if Father Christmas has been!

I did have to drag them outta bed at 8am though.

Merry Christmas all Xmas Smile

brizzledrizzle · 25/12/2018 09:55

YANBU Xmas Grin

Nomad86 · 25/12/2018 09:59

I've banned mine from eating any more vegetables so they won't grow. They defiantly eat more. Oh well, I guess I lose Grin

JiltedJohnsJulie · 25/12/2018 10:16

YANBU. Mine simply refuse to stop growing. I think they do it to prove a point.

BG2015 · 25/12/2018 10:24

Mine are 19 and 15 and both over 6' now. I sooooo miss the Christmas days gone by. They have had to be 'encouraged' to get up at 8.45am in order to open presents - good naturedly though.

We have nothing to build or make and the eldest one is counting how many beers he has in the fridge for later.

I love them to bits and they are turning into great men! Treasure it as they grow up so fast.

Neverunderfed · 25/12/2018 10:30

We are very popular with my in-laws, for this very reason. Dh is the youngest of 4, with #3 not having kids. So the cousins are 18,17,17 and 16. And the shortest is the girl at 6 foot...tallest is 6'5".

Then along we came and added an 8 and a 6 yr old...they get to indulge their love of toys and pretending father Christmas is real all over again.

And now we have added #3, who is just over 1. A baby to be enjoyed 😁

CountessOfNowhere · 25/12/2018 10:58

Christmas was magical when DD was small. Obviously it's not the same now (she's 19) but it's still fab! We've just opened our presents together and now we're having tea, toast and a bucks fizz together 😊

Singlenotsingle · 25/12/2018 11:03

When my DS was younger I bought him a pair of shoes. Three weeks later he'd grown out of them! I bought shoes quite often. He's 6ft 4" now!

gottastopeatingchocolate · 25/12/2018 13:14

YANBU. Mine keeps growing despite me regularly telling her not to. As a compensation, she has decided to marry me when she grows up!

ineedtolovemyself · 25/12/2018 15:04

It's just so selfish of them GrinGrin
