Oooops.... Christmas Present Failure (suspect I'm starting this thread a little early for most folk)

Every year two of my closest friends come round to ours on Christmas Eve. We have nibbles and exchange presents. They never stay too long because we've all got final preps to do for tomorrow, but it's always nice.

This year my best friend got us artisanal flavoured gin. Very nice. And she very generously got me and DH a bottle each.

LOVELY gift.

Our present to her (and other friend)? Home-made flavoured gin. Xmas Blush

So, she'll have spent about quadruple what we spent. I hope she's not going to be really pissed off.

Tomorrow, when the rest of the world catches up, do feel free to share your christmas present fails.

Sorry all - wrong thread. Have requested deletion. Too much Xmas cheer Blush. Merry Xmas.

I’d think homemade gun was a very considerate present. I don’t measure amounts spent.

That's lovely. I'd love home made gin.

It is illegal to have a still without a licence. Adding a few herbs to a cheap gin isn't homemade gin.

Whatsnew, I think you could easily say to your friend that your DH's allergy has got worse and now you daren't have the peanut butter in the house. Tell her the Snickers story. So would she please not get you that any more.

MIL is very difficult to buy for, and to make matters worse OH really struggles with choosing gifts for people. This year we finally got round to getting her some gifts a couple of days ago. We've made up a lovely hamper of pampering treats- including bath creme, bath salts, bath bombs.... This morning he remembered that she no longer has a bath! She moved house recently and the new place has a wet room.... Oops!
