So my girls have been bugging me all evening asking if they can sleep in same bed. My daughter has a king size bed so there's plenty of room.

Aibu to let em sleep together just for a night as a bit of fun before Xmas?

Yeah I would. Why not?

ChodeofChodeHall · 23/12/2018 20:30

Yes, whyever not?

ChodeofChodeHall · 23/12/2018 20:30

That is to say, YANBU.

fatbrows · 23/12/2018 20:31

...

Yika · 23/12/2018 20:31

Why on earth not?

bagginses · 23/12/2018 20:31

Of course let them! My daughters have always loved a sleepover- often they end up in the same single bed!

SoyDora · 23/12/2018 20:32

Why wouldn’t it be ok?

Kpo58 · 23/12/2018 20:32

Apart from giggling, talking and trying their hardest not to sleep, what is your issue with it?

Shriek · 23/12/2018 20:32

I am a bit thrown that you would need to ask

What is the potential problem here OP?

I thought you were going to say mixed sex co-sleeping or something.

cariadlet · 23/12/2018 20:32

I don't understand why you would feel the need to even question it. They both want to and it's a big bed. Sounds like fun.

MamaLovesMango · 23/12/2018 20:32

Why on earth not?! That’s so sweet of them!

CherryPavlova · 23/12/2018 20:33

Many children have no choice but to share a bed. Why would you even need to ask? It will be giggly but sweet.

DBN1 · 23/12/2018 20:33

Of course they can. Just out of interest, why does one have a king size bed??

Troels · 23/12/2018 20:36

My sister and I used to do that. She had a double. We especially loved it at Christmas, our stockings pillowcases would be together at the bottom and we'd giggle and talk half the night. Lovely memories.

jessstan2 · 23/12/2018 20:38

It's perfectly OK and normal for two sisters to sleep together, especially Christmas time, why not? Or cousins, or friends or even a brother and sister when they are little.

Lots of siblings sleep together when away on holiday too.

Aquamarine1029 · 23/12/2018 20:39

It's very bizarre that you would ask if two young sisters can share a bed. Confused

Munchyseeds · 23/12/2018 20:39

Why ever not??

sj257 · 23/12/2018 20:39

Is this for real?! Why wouldn’t it be ok?!

Twinningsloverbutnotanymore · 23/12/2018 20:40

I can't wait to hear the reasons you wouldn't let them!! They are sisters, you're lucky they get on so well!

Orchidflower1 · 23/12/2018 20:40

??

PengAly · 23/12/2018 20:40

Some of my favourite childhood memories are the sleepovers i had with my big sister- why do you feel the need to ask?

currentcake · 23/12/2018 20:40

I'm confused as to why you would even consider not allowing this...

Raven88 · 23/12/2018 20:41

I would because it could provide them with a bonding moment.

Toughtips · 23/12/2018 20:41

Just wondering if I'm making a rod for my own back lol. Or a safety issue. But guessing my 3yr old is old enough to move out of any harm now.

DD has a king size now due to us having a new bed when we moved. Her single has done her 5years and wasn't very comfy. We had a good bedframe so just bought her a new mattress. Job done til she's an adult now lol

me and my sister shared a bed pretty much our whole lives until we moved out because we refused to sleep by ourselves! we both used to cram on the top bunk of our bunk beds until we were about 11 and 12 when our mum finally gave in and bought us a king sized bed. my boys also regularly sneak into each other’s beds in the night for cuddles.
