Having a gathering. Thinking about ordering canapés from either Waitrose or M&S. They both have a fair bit of choice if you go via their entertaining section online.

Anyone have experience of either? Or other experiences?

No it’s a drinks party so no main course, obviously. About 100 give or take. It’s really not difficult things though and the girls will help. I cheat with ready made pastry and blinis though.

We had cook last year. Was nice but honestly nothing special and SO SO overpriced. M&S and Waitrose were nice, but so were Sainsburys and Iceland. You 100% could not tell the difference between them!

We ordered from M and S and Tesco for our wedding. M and S were by far the least convenient. We bought a 98 item platter, 24 piece platter etc - it all came in individually wrapped parcels of 4-6 pieces. Horribly wasteful.

I THOROUGHLY recommend the Tesco Cheese Cake (i.e. tiers of cheese), and the pork pies.

We have ordered from both Waitrose and M&S previously and I generally prefer M&S. their stuff tends to be more classic crowd pleasers whereas Waitrose sometimes goes a bit rogue with their options (this year's game pies weren't too popular at our get together)

I guess it's just what you prefer to eat, I have been know to do an order from both shops for more of a mix. But find it's usually the M&S stuff that gets cleared out

We have used both Waitrose and M&S, prefer the taste and choice of M&S, and delivery options of Waitrose, who offer delivery, while M&S require collection. Collection went smoothly, all very organised with wheeled containers to get easily to the car, lots of parking, but still another job needing doing.

I've ordered from Morrison's , collection in an hour - can let you know. Had food from most of the supermarkets over the years and there's not a lot between them in all honesty.

Xmas Grin
Their sushi is good - but that really is expensive!

DS had his birthday party this weekend and the food was from M&S mainly and everyone loved it. I also had duck spring rolls from Aldi which were delicious 😋
