Am I being stingy?

Just had a friend say I am. O big deal but it got me wondering.

Ds (18) has been going out with his girlfriend for six months. Since September ds has been at university so I haven’t seen her that much. Have spent £20 on her Christmas present which I think is fine. Friend thinks I am stingey and should also do her a stocking.

AIB stingey?

Perfectly reasonable amount to spend.

I don't get the weight thrown behind cost of a present - I have bought my friend a stocking with 5/6 gifts that cost less than this. She'll be thrilled. As I will be.

We have done ea ch other a stocking since being kids.

For my adult children they have a man present of £25.00 and a stocking full of fillers that are practical.

That’s the thing. I have got her the make up she likes and needs. I asked ds what to get.

Her dp have got ds a second hand vinyl he wanted.

We spend about £20-£30 on presents for family so sounds fine to me.

Sounds like a lovely, thoughtful gift.
