To be pissed off he sleeps all day

My ds is home university and claims to find night time sleep difficult, that being said I’m pissed off that he sleeps all day. I know this part is petty, but it feels so one sided, we help as much as we can, don’t ask for anything. We would like to spend some time with him. He is doing some bar work in the evening finishing at 3am therefore AIBU to insist he gets up now. What do you wise folks think please?

Let him sleep, he’s working night shifts.

How about you get up at 3am and spend some time with him when he gets in from work? Maybe get a cup of tea and a bacon sarnie on the go?

Some of us are just naturally nocturnal.

That's a cardinal sin on MN.

Cook some bacon. He'll soon get up.

Slightly off topic but what year is he? My DD has two 5,000 word essays to write plus her dissertation to start, plus exams in January and has chosen not to get a job because she's spending her days in the library.

But I'd let him sleep, as PPs have said. Working until 3am sounds utterly exhausting.
