Husband is obsessed with pokemon

He's an intelligent grown man and he works from home but he spends hours playing Pokemon. He goes on raids and us constantly looking at his phone- we can't even have a normal conversation. I've asked him to put his phone away/ limit his use but he is completely addicted!
A healthy hobby or ridiculous obsession?

Wow a hobby that encourages him to exercise and socialise with others. How terrible. Why not download the app and go join him

Nothing wrong with adults playing Pokemon! I play it regularly as I have a 15 minute walk to the train station to get to work, I used to go on walks specially to play when it first came out as I wasn’t working but rarely do that these days (although walking more would be good for me!)

The problem here is that it’s all consuming and affecting your relationship.

Agree hobby doesn’t matter so much - it’s the fact he’s being anti social and distracted when with you.
Could he get an app that shows how long he’s been on the phone playing?iPhones have it in the settings somewhere.
Perhaps when he sees the statistics he’ll reduce the time spent playing.

To those saying adults shouldnt play it, you really need to grow up yourselves and stop being so close minded. Nothing is wrong with adults having whatever hobby they enjoy(obviously as long as its safe and legal) FWIW my DH is a big pokemon fan and it doesnt ruin our relationship. Moderation of any hobby is key, raise your concerns with you husband.
