Secret Santa presents

Did Secret Santa at work today. I got a single flight ticket to a European city that leaves on Sunday afternoon and can’t book annual leave for the next day as we all have to be in. Thoughts?

Hahaha yeah exactly AnchorDown. The person then went around telling everyone else what they’d bought me.

I really like the team I work with and get on really well with them, but I’m not a massive fan of this colleague.

Judging by the situation at Gatwick il think you’ll be lucky if flights all over the U.K. are unaffected and flying as normal

The colleague booked the flight for January

Oh sorry I thought it said this Sunday!

HopefulCivilServant · 20/12/2018 19:31

Suzie, just seen that my last reply seemed quite abrupt - sorry! Blush No sorry, I didn’t explain it well - the flight’s next month. When I suggested to the colleague that I wouldn’t be able to go, they suggested I do a day trip on the Sunday instead.

It’s one of those ideas that sounds fun and exciting on paper, and like it’s a great present for under a fiver, but is actually a pain in the arse.

HopefulCivilServant · 20/12/2018 19:54

My thoughts exactly, EduCated.

And I’m surprised that my colleagues thought they’d do it again considering they’d already done it once before.
