Ideas to separate an open plan lounge/kitchen when cooking with baby.. Diagram inside.

So open plan. And I can't seem to see a way in which to put anything up. Because if one side there's a wall the opposite has a radiator or something which prevents fixing to wall..
Did think of play pen but can't fit one in and no where to put when not in use.

Trying to cook with baby out way who's 9m is hard. Dp is at work when I cook. And won't have time to cook when he gets in due to going to his second job ( max 1 hour indoors)

Need something as she's hanging from my legs whilst cooking.

Anyone got any ideas.

Playpen. This is a great folding one we use for holidays :)

Ergo baby carrier and strap her to your back?

Mine goes between a baby walker and the highchair. I just have to be a bit careful when opening the oven that he doesn't zoom over to it (he tries). The walker is the only way I've been able to cook at all to be honest. He just shoot around then shouts when he's stuck Grin

She won’t be like this forever - not helpful I know - but it will get easier.

I would use a high chair with loads of things to distract. And I had lower cupboards with things that ds could pull out and mess around with (eg plastics etc) and everything dangerous was out of reach.
However the issue might be her lack of sleep - makes her grouchy and so you can’t put her down.
I had to work solidly on naps for a few weeks with my first at around 10 months old and he finally napped for longer than 45 mins as he got to one. I rarely used the oven though when he was walking and crawling about and no one else to move him.

I used to put mine in a sling on my back. Simple.
