If you wipe it out regularly it will be a lot easier to clean.
That is true. The hob gets cleaned every night so never really gets properly dirty which is nice!

The Lakeland liner is excellent and I’d also,recommend their Oven Mate gel. Use it a couple of times a year and it will keep your oven looking lovely. It’s very quick and easy to use too.

Our new ones have a cleaning setting it heats them really big and everything turns to dust and you just sweep it. Not sure how well it works

@Sexnotgender it's not a well known brand so the only thing I can find online is a copy of the manual. The manual explains how the cleaning function works, take out racks etc. and which symbol to turn the knob to, but not how to tell it to start the actual cycle as it doesn't start just by turning the knob. I must have a mess about with it tonight while I remember to!
