To feel to old and frumpy to wear what I want... and I’m not even 30!

So, I have never been a fashionista... far from. And I’m not in great shape (which I’m working on), so I’m “curvy” with a large chest. But I find when I look in the mirror I just feel bleurg... Nothing fits right. Pretty much everything makes me feel like a frumpy blob.

However, there is one outfit that I put on and think I look somewhat reasonable and I love the combo on others - a simple skater dress, leggings, boots and long cardi - simple, mostly dark, little alternative, good for my shape and not too daring... yet when I wear it I feel too dressed up and look at my face and swear I look too old for it. But I’m only 27?!

AIBU to think that some people are just destined to be deeply unhappy in the way they look/dress? I always just seem to end up in a hoody and jeans!

Biscuits deleted post was spam from some supposed fashion expert offering you their services.

You should wear the flattering outfit and just dare yourself to go out in it. You deserve to go out looking nice and you’ll get used to it and eventually won’t get that feeling that everyone’s looking.

I recently had a personal shopping session at top shop and loved it as she picked out things I wouldn’t have done but when I tried them on I loved them. Might be ab idea? Quite a few retailers offer it.
