Just sent dd 13 into local shops for a packet of wallpaper paste (I am most unsuitabley dressed for public viewing in decorating outfit). She was taking ages - assumed queues as it's busy here, nope. Apparently the cashier had to check with the manager if it was age restricted!!
What items have you been refused??
*never heard of dc getting high sniffing paper paste!!

I got ID'ed for a diet coke in Wetherspoons once. Was so confused thinking she misheard me but apparently some of them don't allow under 18s past a certain time.

My DD was refused eggs and flour from the corner shop when she was around 11.

I wound have never even considered the potential of looking like it was to carry out AS behaviour.
However we do live in the nicest part of a wider area where this is possibly more likely than children baking lemon drizzle cakeConfused

Makes me nostalgic for when I was still getting id'd as a pregnant 28 year old! Bonkers!

Annoying at the time but I kinda miss that I was thought to be young then, I got away with half fares on trains until I was mid 20's too - even if I didn't ask for one!

I'm only 5' 2" and back then was also very slim no boobs no bum and rarely wore make up, I suspect being fair colouring also contributed.

Now I'm overweight, busty and greying no such luck!

Dd despite being dark and tall and yes still (only just) 17 but is constantly queried on her age even when buying the most innocuous things or when people see her with her work lanyard on they make daft comments, yet her friends - all but one of her close group at least a year younger than her hardly ever get id'd - weird
