I can't help but think it's caused by my shocking cooking?!

Racking my brains to think if I've cooked something shit and made him poorly Sad

It could be from anywhere though, especially at this time of year when norovirus etc are doing the rounds.

Just keep his fluids up and hope that you don't get it!

Jezzifishie · 16/12/2018 01:55

I'm sure it wasn't - stomach bugs are everywhere at the moment, it's that time of year.

MrsVargas · 16/12/2018 01:59

It's such a shit time of year for sickness. There's nothing worse than a poorly kid! Its 2am and all I can smell is vomit Envy

If everyone who got a stomach bug was caused by back cooking as a nation we’d be extinct by now :) There are a lot of viruses about now, anyone who touched, sneezed or even breathed near by could have passed germs along. Don’t beat yourself up, it’s distressing but will pass x

You're right whyareallthe. He's never had a bad tummy like this before! Must have wrapped his cotton wool too tight.

Ice lollies! If they end up eat for a while then ice lollies are magic to get water into them. Sickness bugs are awful Sad

knittedjest · 16/12/2018 02:24

Children get sick sometimes. Especially two year olds. They stick their hands down their pants then put their fingers in their mouths. Of course they get sick. It isn't anybodies fault.

Heyjudas · 16/12/2018 02:36

Doubt it was your cooking

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 16/12/2018 02:44

Worst thing about being a good mum is that you care so much! Trust me you have another few decades of this. Actually you’ll probably worry about this stuff even when your in your 90’s :)

agnurse · 16/12/2018 03:17

Yes, ice lollies can be fabulous. I don't know if they are available in the UK, but Pedialyte makes electrolyte replacement ice lollies.

As far as where he gets it - probably almost impossible to determine. With children that age, their hands tend to be everywhere. He might even have got it from a commercial loo or possibly somewhere else public. The most important thing is to keep him hydrated. If his mouth starts looking dry, or his eyes start looking sunken, those are not good signs.

MrsVargas · 16/12/2018 04:38

Thank you for your suggestions. Ice lollies are a wonderful idea.

I also do doubt it was my cooking as I haven't done much of it lately due to being out of sorts myself (not sickness, heavily pregnant so fingers crossed I don't get sick)

Little poor thing! Just want to take it away and make him all better.

I've not heard of those agnurse but I'll definitely have a look for them, thank you! Thanks
