Films that you can watch over and over

GunillaGarsonGoldberg · 15/12/2018 22:40

Just thinking about this (changed my username in fact to a character), what films are the ones that if you are flicking through channels and come upon, you just have to watch to the end even though you have seen them over and over again!

Mine are:

First Wives Club
Stepmom
The Island
The Trueman Show

I can guarantee if any of those films are on, I will change the channel and watch until done :)

What’s yours?

Controversial on here - most Tom cruise films especially 80's ones, but I also love the mission impossibles and knight and day.

Tons of other 80's films - dirty dancing, breakfast club, goonies, back to the future, Indiana Jones films, die hard, beetlejuice, karate kid, the untouchables, adventures in babysitting (those not in the know - no googling - but if you've seen this film any idea what part Vincent d'onofrio (full metal jacket, men in black - Edgar, law & order:criminal intent, daredevil) plays? If you don't already know I'll bet you'll be 😱 when you find out.
steel magnolias, highlander...

Action movies:

Taken 1, non stop, terminator franchise, bond films, con air, the rock, total recall, speed, point break, Independence Day, the fugitive, long kiss goodnight, Armageddon,

Horror: the classics of course. Friday the 13th, Halloween, the shining, psycho, jaws, poltergeist, cube, gremlins, critters (hardly anyone I know seen this - hilarious!)

also some of the newer ones - scream franchise, final destination franchise, 6th sense, the faculty, the craft, stir of echoes, stigmata, end of days, Devils advocate (great film!)

Some based on comic books:

Iron man, deadpool, some of the batman films, avengers , hulk,

I love films.

From others posts

Officer & a gentleman - great film
Kindergarten cop - great fun!
Practical magic - love this
Double jeopardy - good call

My cousin Vinny is a bloody brilliant film! I knew I'd love it after: just like my family - seriously must have been lawyers/politicians in past lives! 😂

Bill:
You have to see the Gambinis in action. I mean, these people, they love to argue. I mean, they live to argue.
Stan:
My parents argue too, it doesn't make them good lawyers.
Bill:
Stan, I've seen your parents argue. Trust me, they're amateurs.
