Again turning to MN for ideas.. there are 6 staff taking care of DD. I don't want to get chocolates again but can't spend a lot more than £10-15 in all.
Any ideas?
One year we got them all monkey socks because DD was obsessed with monkeys. Could do that again...?

Small bottles of wine (3 for £5) and small boxes of chocolate (£1 each) should be £16 for all 6

Sindragosan · 15/12/2018 11:46

Sorry, missed no chocolate, but anyone working with kids all day probably appreciates wine.

Whattodonut · 15/12/2018 17:13

I didn't really want to get food as I think they get 30 boxes of chocolate each year

Alcohol is always appreciated. Is there somewhere locally you could get some really nice miniatures you could wrap nicely? Alternatively one of the small lush bath bomb thingies?

Grumblepants · 15/12/2018 17:24

Fancy tea bags or coffee for the staff room?

EnFlique · 15/12/2018 17:24

A nice pen each...I speak from experience when I say pens are like gold dust in a nursery!

6 staff at my nursery. I found a set with 6 hand lotion in boots

hmmwhatatodo · 15/12/2018 17:53

Don’t assume everyone drinks alcohol/eats chocolate. Why not get a pick and mix of the above along with a bath bomb/fancy popcorn/novelty pen/candle and people can chose what they prefer.

M and s are selling all their wee sets off just now

A mug with a lid each - they have £3 ones in Waitrose?

Reggie24 · 15/12/2018 17:58

I’ve got these. I don’t think the delivery takes that long but depends when you break up for Christmas.

We had similar with 6 members of staff. We went to M&S and got a 6 pack of mini handcreams (reduced to £5) and 2 packs of 3 lip balms. Split them and put into pretty bags with some chocolate coins. X

NotDoris · 15/12/2018 17:59

I’m in early years. Our favourite presents have been ones the children make, personalised Christmas decorations, decent hand cream for after all that hand washing, or a card with a nice comment in.

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 15/12/2018 18:10

I work in Early Years. Please, just a card...a nice message would be good.

The best present I ever received was a pot of instant porridge. Because the 4 year old "knew I would like it."

I did. It was also the most touching and memorable thing I have ever received.

Let them choose...however random.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 15/12/2018 18:14

I agree, I have another thread running about this- a genuine heartfelt thank you message in a card is better than cheap chocs.
