About people claiming chairs at Center Parcs

It’s worse than sun loungers at any hotel I’ve stayed at.

Groups of four, six, eight... drape towels over as many chairs and then bugger off into the pool for an hour or so. Sometimes they use bags or goggles to monopolise even more chairs. I’ve seen families return to their enclave, dry off and go! Didn’t even sit in them.

This means that there aren’t chairs for those who want to sit, read, nurse etc.

If people were just less selfish there’d be plenty of chairs for those who wanted them when they wanted them.

It winds me up so much more than it should to be honest, but I’d love to hear from some of you selfish sods as to why you do this.

If no one is on them I just move stuff. To the rocks behind, for example, or to the floor. It's not like many people actually sit there so they'd be able to find another one.

We were at CP in August and there were enough free chairs that we just went and found one. Even with 3 month old DD it wasn't a problem

Probably would have cried. I was in a lot of pain, but didn't want to ruin everyone's holiday so pretended I was having a great time and just went for regular lie downs. If I had stayed in bed it would have put a damper on the whole trip for everyone else. Luckily it wasn't massively busy so no one tried to oust me. And I had codeine.
