When i was away for the weekend, a family member stayed at my house and a necessary appliance broke.
Said family member, instead of contacting me and letting me know, purchased a replacement for me, from a second hand shop. Unfortunately, the replacement is not suitable.
I am expected to repay the family member the money spent, but now I am left in a situation where I need to buy a new one, sell the one they bought (No one is interested in buying it yet for the price they paid), and repay the money.
Aibu for being annoyed about this situation? Or should just I be grateful for their "help"?
