To only wear big pants from now on!

Today I threw out all my non big pants (bar 3 pairs of sexy Brazilian cut ones that I couldn't bare to part with)

I actually feel like a pensioner at 28!!! In my defence though I've had two c sections and the last was only 12 weeks ago so my scar is still a bit tender! I've decided that any outfit that requires a thong I'll just have to go commando Grin

I think I'll maybe need to get some reasonable sized pants in the summer/for going abroad etc but I will cross that bridge when I come to it!

Belly warmers for life.

I'm a fan of a bigger knicker. Boy shorts or french knickers for me.

Verbena87 · 15/12/2018 14:22

Big pants or commando are the options here too. No point being half-arsed about things (sorry, couldn’t resist!) in pants or in life!

Heismyopendoor · 15/12/2018 14:27

29 and I’ve been wearing big pants for years :) tbf I’ve had three sections and do have an overhang, no matter how much weight I lose. So I wear big knickers, they are the modal full brief ones from Sainsbury’s.

Bababoo13 · 15/12/2018 14:28

I’m a year younger and dh said the other day stop wearing granny knickers. I said I did actually Need new ones as mine were falling down as a lost abit of weight so he said he would get some. He got some from Victoria secret. I would never go though coz he knows I’m a cheap skate- they are actually really comfy.

Fairylea · 15/12/2018 14:34

Apart from a very short spell in my late teens (18/19 ish) where I tortured myself by wearing thongs I’ve always worn big pants. So comfy!! Can’t stand having a hungry bum that eats my pants. Grin

Freshprincess · 15/12/2018 14:37

I bought a pack in Tesco by mistake. As I couldn’t take them back I thought I might as well wear them. By god they’re comfy.

I haven’t worn thongs for years anyway, don’t care about VPL day to day and I’ve got some big pull me in knickers for slinky dresses.

I’m replacing all my hipsters with granny knickers from now on.

Ninoo25 · 15/12/2018 14:41

I haven’t worn anything other than massive sloggis since having my first DD by csection. No other pants are comfortable enough anymore, they all seem to fall on or around my scar. I was in late 20s when I ditched the ‘pretty pants’ 😂

BonBonVoyage · 15/12/2018 14:41

I was considering posting the same thing a few months ago. I rediscovered my granny pants and LOVE them. The only problem is that I only have 5 pairs. I need santa to bring me another pack then I'll be sorted properly

Sarahlou63 · 15/12/2018 14:44

Haven't worn knickers of any size since my hysterectomy 8 years ago. I have one pair for visiting the doctor/leg waxing and that's it.

EdWinchester · 15/12/2018 14:47

My mil wears big Sloggis. I can't imagine wearing such large pants.

Oysterbabe · 15/12/2018 14:50

Same as many, I bought big pants to take to hospital for after giving birth and just never stopped wearing them. DH probably hates them but I couldn't give less of a shit.

Binglebong · 15/12/2018 20:15

Anyone want to suggest big pants for the huge of arse that are also no vpl? I need to stock up.

Laudaroc · 15/12/2018 20:18

i have just started wearing big pants at the grand old age of 47
Wish i had discovered them 21 years ago after the birth of my first child

HestiaParthenos · 15/12/2018 20:25

Always prioritize being comfortable.

delilahbucket · 15/12/2018 20:27

Been wearing low rise shorts only since pregnancy. No shame in it, it's all about the comfort!

treaclesoda · 15/12/2018 20:30

I switched to wearing big pants a few months back and have not regretted it!

My post child bearing shape was such that anything lower cut actually fell down. Like properly rolling down my legs inside my trousers. Blush.

Doyoumind · 15/12/2018 20:31

I always go for comfy pants. I've never worn thongs. I have one pair of shorts that are actually too big but they just feel so good on.

rabbitfoodadvocate · 15/12/2018 20:31

@Binglebong I got some bloody nice modal ones in M&S today. Good size range, don't dig in, lovely. 3 for 2 as well!

WooYa · 15/12/2018 20:33

I'm 26 and love my Sainsbury's pants! Xmas GrinBefore having DS I lived in fancy lacy things but had an episiotomy so anything there irritates my scar so I'm loving the comfort

AwkwardSquad · 15/12/2018 20:34

I bloody love big pants, they’re so comfy. M&S full cotton knicks.

Sinead100 · 15/12/2018 20:36

Im 28 and did exactly this a few months ago. Threw out everything and bought 15 pairs of the M&S no VPL microfibre low rise shorts that a previous poster mentioned (10 black and 5 in a nude for summer).

Never looking back!

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 15/12/2018 20:36

I'm 24 and have only ever worn big pants, until last week when I discovered how comfy brazilians are and now I''m stocking up on them Grin it's great to find comfy undies

dudsville · 15/12/2018 22:06

Ahhhhhhh. Big Pants. I made the switch about a decade ago. I have some plain black and some funny random retro almost ca r toon patterns. I love matching them with a pretty bra. And while I've never been one for showing off my knickers, i realised this week when i was dressing and raised my arms and saw that the top band of my pants was visible, that i felt proud on a geeky sort of way that i might be seen to be wearing my space themed pants that day! Big Pants. Let men wear the tiny scratchy stringy crap!

Belindabauer · 15/12/2018 22:10

Yep.
The last knickers I bought were big cotton ones, they are fab!
So much less hassle than anything else.
