Everyone seems to hate it...even benefit bashers. Will universal credit be the undoing of the Tories ( apart from Brexot).
Why are we not making a fuss like the French? Not advocating violence at all but instead of moaning what are people doing to change it?

Thats a symptom of the smoke and mirrors around UC, though.

Why is it smoke and mirrors to point out it has cross party support?

Labour will have to change their stance before too long.

And if they do then that is when riots might happen, depending on the reasons why they change their stance obviously.

I'm not here to make an argument for or against UC, I am answering the OP's thread, no I do not think it will cause riots, nor do I think it will be the downfall of the tories, the tories may be out in the next GE but it will decide on many factors. Do I think UC will be revoked, no I don't.

It isn't. I phrased clumsily. What I mean is, they trumpeted it as being reform to x, y and z aspects, but then quietly slipped another nine (vicious) changes that most of the public aren't aware of.

So certain (craven) politicians feel electorally obliged to support something because of the optics and the poor public understanding of whats really going on.
