How old are they and what sex?
Do you have any examples of things they like or any hobbies so we can think of things relating to that?

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 21:44

Same ass me, 30s. Children. Hobbies hmm not really... one likes reading, house things, food and drink, cooking but have bought her clothes, candles, pjs, books, make up, jewellery in the past. Her tastes with jewellery are quite plain and wears same jewellery daily mainly.

Other one has more outgoing clothes and jewellery tastes but i always buy jewellery (likes crafting apparently) never seen evidence of this and im clueless. Have bought in the past similar things hewellery, pandora, little gifts, make up etc etc etc

Bath bombs/ shower gel etc from Lush
A nice scarf & gloves
Nice chocolates and book
You could make a wee hamper up as well with a wee theme

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 21:54

Done smellies and scarves in the past. Would like to hit the nail on the head but dont know how. Not sure about bath bombs. I know theyll have got it right for me. Im just bad at buying presents and cannot think of anything. X

I got my friends a scrabble tile photo frame of their names and the kids.
Personalised totes bags, always useful these days
Pamper afternoon for you all
Or go rogue and buy nerf guns Grin

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 22:04

Nerf guns?

Pamper afternoon would be amazing but too hard to arrange

BadgerWithSprouts · 13/12/2018 22:06

Are they both friends with each other?
How about an afternoon tea voucher each and you all go together in the new year?

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 22:09

Yes. Anyone seen Hangover?

"We are the three best friends that anybody could have, the three best friends that anybody could have, the three best friends that anybody could have and we will never ever leave each other.... "

Aww, that's lovely! Have you had a look on Pinterest for ideas?

BadgerWithSprouts · 13/12/2018 22:11

www.notonthehighstreet.com/joybycorrinesmith/product/family-birthstone-link-bracelet
How about this for friend A - order now and they personalise the birthstones based on her children’s birth month

BadgerWithSprouts · 13/12/2018 22:13

What kind of lifestyle does friend B have?

LittleBirdBlues · 13/12/2018 22:19

You mention that one of your friends is a foodie? What sort of a cookbis she? Would a good cook book be a nice idea? There are some real gems out there but it really depends what she is into. Check who she is following on Instagram and get their cookbook? I love Rachel Roddy's Italian cookbooks.theyvare beautifully written and taste amazing, but everything is really quite simple to make - so perfect when you are cooking with little ones running around.

Moussemoose · 13/12/2018 22:21

Gifting isn't a real word.

You give a 'gift' it is a noun not a verb.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 22:27

Doesnt matter does it? I think everyone understood.

Thanks lovely posters that helped. I have drcided on something that is perhaps less materialistic than buyung something. Wont say here but just felt id be buying for buyings sake.

I know, sometimes it feels like that eh. What about doing a wee xmas afternoon tea in your house, could bring the kids as well and maybe just get them a wee sweetie/do crackers. I picked up a nice cake stand in dungeon for £13.50 and am thinking of doing this
www.dunelm.com/product/purity-3-tier-cake-stand-1000028553 £13.50

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 13/12/2018 22:54

Nice idea but too hard with distance but sorted now x

Moussemouse to gift as a verb is accurate. You don’t have to like it but, before you call anyone else out for word usage that is correct according to the OED (among others), you should be aware of it.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 14/12/2018 20:24

Insightmars- damn it... wish I had read it properly and realised that! Thank you Flowers
