The Sainsbury's advert where the "plug" jumps into the wall. Don't ask me why but I howl ! I think it's the legs flopping afterwards plus my sense of humour is messed up and I'm pregnant so goodness knows BlushSmileStar

Graphista

A thread on here about Friends where loads of people were saying, "pivot" and other posters asking why we were saying pivot.

I once totally cracked a friend up, not only was he drying laughing he couldn't stand up, we were on the way to get a kebab and he couldn't order.

It wasn't anything particularly funny, I thought, I'm disabled and for some reason we were talking about jumping out and surprising people, he remarked I couldn't do it so I claimed to have a stoat that I carried around and did the jumping or me and its name was 'Stoaty'.

See not particularly funny, but we now refer to anything that cracks us up as, 'a stoaty moment'.

DP and I love watching clips of people trying not to laugh. I know it sounds weird but it always makes us cry with laughter. So people on live tv who are trying to hold it together, that kind of thing.

Philomensapie · 14/12/2018 04:59

CatThiefKeith, may she rest in peace, used to. Red Dwarf.

Recently, a Russell Kane sketch about differences between British and Americans when dating/ picking up someone when drunk. Me and my son kept putting on silly US accents, " Newsflash! You're kinda beautiful!" And, "Hey, I find you really attractive, and so do my friends... Biff and Scooterrr!" ( You need to watch it, really!)
Also, Harry Hill's comments on You've Been Framed, esp.when he compares the people to celebrities. There was one with a little boy absolutely terrified, but also excited by something he was watching. HH was saying, Is it the Evil Dead, The Omen, maybe? Oh, no, it's a papier mache puppet of Madonna, much more frightening. Ok, it sounds crap when I try and explain it, but I was laughing so much I couldn't breathe.
First time I watched Peep Show when Mark is trying and failing to merge Sales and Marketing and he runs away into a car park, really made me howl with laughter. Humour is very subjective, though, obviously!

You have to watch to the end, the voice gets increasingly ridiculous. The first time I watched it I laughed so much I could hardly breathe.

Hmmm.

Some mumsnet threads.
The Greg Davies stand-up on Netflix. DP and I were crying for quite a while after it ended.
Our cats.
The anti piracy ad with a dog eating a sausage roll off a pirate DVD (No idea why - it just cracks me up).
Close friends.
The YouTube compilation "try not to laugh".

I just love that feeling in your stomach muscles when they literally ache because you're laughing so much. Lovely feeling.

Sparklingbrook · 14/12/2018 05:48

Takeshi's Castle. With Craig Charles commentary.

CarolDanvers · 14/12/2018 05:53

Private Parts Podcast with Jamie Laing and Francis Boulle from Made In Chelsea. Not all of them but quite a few are completely hilarious. I listen to them while I walk the dog and have to cover my face when I am laughing while walking past other people.

Also watched the Christmas special of The Office the other day and had forgotten how funny that was too. Just brilliant.

OnePotato2Potato · 14/12/2018 06:06

I frequently watch clips from "Would I lie to you" on YouTube. Look out for Greg Davies, Rhod Gilbert, Bob Mortimer, Kevin Bridges, Claudia Winkleman on the show. David Mitchell abd Lee Mack are the hosts. They are fab!

BalloonDinosaur · 14/12/2018 06:45

Taskmaster. People used to bang on about it and I was resistant initially, but it's the only tv show that makes me cry laughing every episode.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 14/12/2018 06:46

People falling over Blush
Not old ladies or bad falls !

Weatherwax · 14/12/2018 06:50

Taskmaster on Dave. It's the funniest nonsense on telly at the moment.

Jaxtellerswife · 14/12/2018 07:19

Why is Michael macintyre (sp?) controversial? He's my favourite comedian from the man drawer to pants down you're the loser and Stewart, stu-art and pretty much all of his stuff makes me howl.

Sparklingbrook · 14/12/2018 07:22

I find Michael McIntyre really irriitating and OTT to watch.

Ridingthegravytrain · 14/12/2018 07:35

Literal videos always get me

moomin4071 · 14/12/2018 07:37

James Veitch on YouTube. His videos on scammers are hilarious

Shitonthebloodything · 14/12/2018 07:38

The bit in Daddy's Home where Will Ferrell is "IN THE WALL!"

longwayoff · 14/12/2018 07:50

AIBU. Sometimes unintentionally, but can be, as you all know, absolutely hilarious Xmas Grin

motherlondon · 14/12/2018 10:05

Bridget Jones Baby made me laugh.

DorisDances · 14/12/2018 10:23

Catch him Derry - the bat in a kitchen in Ireland was a highlight this year. The outtakes from Peter Kay's Car Share (with Reece Sheersmith) are legendary

Ken Lee
