Why! Why would you do that?

If you can afford to, just buy two packets of the said biscuits, and both of you open them in different ways to suit each other... oh dear.what a palaver !! I don't eat biscuits !!

PeachesPlumsPears · 07/12/2018 04:29

waffly Grin - are you my twin?

Oblomov18 · 07/12/2018 04:49

Biscuit TIN!!

PhilomenaSnowflakeButterfly · 07/12/2018 04:53

There's a teary bit at the top. That's where you're supposed to open them. LTB.

PhilomenaSnowflakeButterfly · 07/12/2018 05:02

Mummy do you mean the musical shortbread tin? We were given one as a present last year. How the fuck do you open them?

HeronLanyon · 07/12/2018 05:05

I am so sorry you are going through this op. Do you have friends in rl to support you through ? You might think about quietly getting your evidence in order before she knows you are onto her ?

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/12/2018 05:15

Philomena
Can’t remember. Ours is in the loft. But if you create a thread you will be answered very quickly I imagine.

PhilomenaSnowflakeButterfly · 07/12/2018 05:15

Good idea!

borntobequiet · 07/12/2018 05:48

If you pull the tab, biscuits fall out. Safer to cut.

AndItStillSaidFourOfTwo · 07/12/2018 06:21

The only good digestive either a) has chocolate on (although then Hobnobs are better) or b) is in a cheesecake base. Otherise they are pointless. Biscuits are supposed to be treats, FFS.

And they are clearly meant to be evacuated from the packet immediately and put in a biscuit tin.

Jasonmendoza · 07/12/2018 07:15

The mcvities digestive is the king of biscuit. No other make of digestive comes close to the mcvitie.

ShineOnHarvestMoon · 07/12/2018 07:44

Open your own biscuits.

The End

Pascha · 07/12/2018 07:54

Doesn't anyone else just slice or tear near the end (as appropriate), take out biscuits to eat and then upturn the small end and tuck it inside the packet to form a lid? I thought that was normal. Confused

DontCallMeCharlotte · 07/12/2018 08:03

I cut in the middle but that's because I'd be about to make a base for a banoffee pie and half a packet is the right amount. Am I exempt?

landoflostcontent · 07/12/2018 08:08

Is that you DH? When did you join Mumsnet? Grin

BigChocFrenzy · 07/12/2018 09:48

Buy the kitchen a nice biscuit tin for its Christmas present

mcmooberry · 07/12/2018 09:53

This would not be allowed to happen in our house as I am OCD about things getting stale and that method immediately exposes 2 digestives to a bit of air inside the bag. I think you already know what you have to do.

littlemeitslyn · 07/12/2018 10:08

Please don't leave me !😓

Sewrainbow · 07/12/2018 10:32

That's a good idea! Can't believe I never thought of It, at least they'll fit in our biscuit tin I always mess about taking a few off the top which then crumble and go stale in the tin.

JustABetterPlayer · 07/12/2018 10:35

Send her on her way, she’s beyond help.

LoadOfUtterBoswellocks · 07/12/2018 10:46

Christ, she's a monster! Who deliberately rends the sleek tube asunder, exposes TWO biscuits to the stale-making air and seals the resulting HORROR in a plastic BAG which you then have to fiddle with, blood sugars dangerously close to crashing, while you attempt to access the limp offerings within?

SIBU for buying digestives without chocolate though.

KurriKurri · 07/12/2018 10:54

Digestives have the taste and texture of sand. Don't waste time opening them in whatever manner, just put them straight in the bin, or feed to a passing dog.

HeronLanyon · 07/12/2018 20:35

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. For me digestives are wonderful. Slightly salty, not too sweet but you do need a cup of tea to wet them a bit (in the mouth never dunked in mug).
