To think this school Dad doesn't need to wear body armour for the school run?!

Just that really. He commented that 'it keeps him warm' but it looks like metal! He also has it showing through his zip quite openly rather than zipping his coat to the top! It wouldn't protect him in event if being stabbed because you can see where it is (and therefore where to avoid). Could there be some logic I am not considering or would you expect it's a mental health/general oddball thing? (Not saying the two are the same!)

No drug dealer will be walking with kids though. I think someone has lived a very sheltered life.

PositiveVibez · 06/12/2018 20:56

I imagine he's into drug dealing. Like a lot if unemployed people these days sadly

😱

Is this what you truly believe?

Many of the shootings of gangland criminals happen at school pick up or drop off times. It's when they know the guy is going to be vulnerable and exposed.

As an aside, I'm quite claustrophobic, but I once had my legs strapped together due to an accident and it felt incredibly soothing, so I can see how it might feel soothing to someone.

Does he dress very trendy. It's just my D is studying fashion and showed me a new trend for men that looks like a stab vest / with a utility belt thing. It looked ridiculous.

Also there was a dad at her old school who was a policeman. He used to go to every event in full uniform including stab vest protective thing. You could tell he was showing off. Made me giggle.

BlueBertie · 06/12/2018 22:45

My guess is back brace but he doesn't want to admit it. They can look an awful lot like a stab vest.

@PositiveVibez yep and proven in some areas. Universal credit makes some people desperate. Other people see lack of police and think let's cash in. You'd be living a sheltered life if you didn't see it growing in most areas now particularly the county lines type dealing.
