I’m fat, big legs, huge belly, massive arse. I need advice on leggings to wear with dresses please. All the ones I have slip down and irritate me. There has to be comfy, warm, thick winter leggings out there for the bigger lady? AIBU to ask for your help to track them down?

If you're a size 24 or under (they're generous), Asda have lovely thick leggings that wash really well without fading for under a tenner.

Next ponte leggings, really thick and high waisted, more like a stretchy trouser with the look of leggings, I love them, will never go back to standard leggings. I buy tall but they do reg and petite. But pricey but wash really well and I dye mine back black again as and when they need to extend the life.

There is a company called snag. They do amazing tights in different sizes. Up to size 32 I think and different lengths! Very reasonably priced too

My leggings always used to fall down, so I started wearing a pair of control knickers over the top of them, like people do with tights (I buy the £5 ones from Primark.) That has solved the problem completely. I only wear my leggings with dresses so the knickers being visible isn't an issue for me. Doing it this way means I don't have to spend loads of money on expensive specialist legging and I can just buy the cheap ones from Primark. Which is perfect for me as I wear them every day as an alternative to tights and go through them an an exponential rate. That being said I have a great fear leggings will go out of fashion and then I will be stuffed.... Sad Sad

Most leggings work for me although I’m not particularly large.

The only ones which don’t are White Stuff. I have leggings in a lovely blue colour but the fit is awful. They roll down over my tummy which isn’t particularly large! Very uncomfortable.

Primark do lovely fleece-lined leggings. They are so cosy and don't slip/bag.
