AIBU to report broken tooth ?

Had a meal out few days ago, nice restaurant that we've been to many times before.

While eating I felt something crack in my mouth. Wasn't in pain, so went home. Found at home I'd cracked one of my front teeth, and it was quite wobbly. It's completely come out over the weekend, there's a little bit of tooth remaining like a stump.

Can I complain to the restaurant? AIBU to?

What are you complaining about? Was there something in your food that shouldn’t have been?

If not it’s just one of those things unfortunately.

Complain about what? Unless there was something hard in the food that shouldn't have been there, then it is not their fault your tooth broke.

I would be calling a dentist and not worrying about complaining to the restaurant, what do you want them to do?

Unless there was a solid piece of food or foreign object in the food, there's no blame or complaining to do.

You would have noticed immediately if there was something hard enough to break a tooth in your meal. If there wasn't anything, it's just one of those things that happens. I broke a tooth a couple of weeks ago, whilst eating a curry - not the restaurant's fault, my tooth was just weak.

Surely you need to be calling the dentist, not the restaurant? Or have you missed something out of your OP?
