I have no symptoms to say I have like cramps or bleeding

I had pink discharge a few weeks ago and all was ok. I've had hyper emesis but have coped better with a different medicine routine in the last week

Suddenly today the bloating went away but I don't know why I just have a weird feeling
My boobs still hurt etc but I feel anxious when I was coping ok before with the pregnancy

I'm 9 weeks

What should I do

I always felt reassured that if you don’t have symptoms of miscarriage, all is fine.

I don’t really see what EPU could do for you. If it were me I’d book in for
A private scan tomorrow for reassurance

Redken24 · 04/12/2018 18:54

Phone.
Have you had a booking in yet?
Is this your first pregnancy?
Most symptoms like boobs etc fluctuate x

suddenlypanicked · 04/12/2018 18:55

So I had a scan already and there was a small pocket of fluid like .8 x .9 or something like that which I was told could maybe bleed at some point

I have been told to call back if I bleed or cramp but I haven't cramped or bled today

I think it's because the nausea has changed that may be why I am panicking

Also yes I've had booking in appointment and I have got a scan on 13th and another on 28th as booked by the EPU and midwife
And then consultant on 31st
I've been pregnant only once before and that resulted in the birth of my son so I haven't had a miscarriage before

I don't know why I am panicking

I can call tomorrow and see them or text my midwife

I think you should do everything possible to distract yourself and carry on. Go for a walk, housework, cook, whatever. What's happening now is your anxiety is getting the best of you, and that never helps anything. Chances are, everything is just fine.

BarbarianMum · 04/12/2018 18:59

I think you should try and relax a bit. Your body and how it feels will change and change again during pregnancy - in the absence of pain or bleeding I think you should try and hope for the best.

The thing with going for a scan "just because" is that it's likely to feed any anxiety you have. Yes you'd be reassured at the time but what about the next day, or the day after?

The reality with early pregnancy is that it really is in the lap of the Gods.

Caprisunorange · 04/12/2018 18:59

But your previous scan doesn’t reassure that everything is fine, which is why I suggested a private one. I doubt the nhs will do one with no symptoms

I’m also suffering with HG and just started some medication that has made me feel better. I’m so happy! I wonder if anxiety might be a side effect of the medication you’re on?

suddenlypanicked · 04/12/2018 19:02

I think it's the nausea
A scan won't change the out come so it's not that

It's just an anxiety thing
Maybe it's the medication you're right it does make me restless

The EPU is really for emergency care at this stage. You’re not bleeding or having any issues. Your symptoms will change as the placenta starts to take over. It’s normal. Having a scan tomorrow won’t stop the worry the day after. I know because I’ve been there, and still am there at 16 weeks. There is nothing they can do to change the outcome.

Maybe see your GP or midwife about your anxiety.

birdling · 04/12/2018 19:04

Remember that symptoms fluctuate all the time. I found that, especially around 9/10 weeks, I had days of feeling better, then the nausea would come back with a vengeance. Happened with all 3 pregnancies. All successful.

suddenlypanicked · 04/12/2018 19:10

My lovely midwife just called me she got my text she was on call and called me I'm so glad
She just said that likely my medicine regime and the fact I'm eating more often as I'm less nauseas is helping blood sugar and in turn helping the nausea
She said that it sounds all good if I am not in pain and not bleeding
I'm so glad she called me
I think she is right and I was probably having a wobble because I have a bit too much time on my hands and I'm not hugging a sick bowl in the dark

Thank you everyone and I always say a scan and also nothing at all anyway would change the out come of the pregnancy

I'm sorry you're feeling like this Thanks
I've had four babies and one thing to remember is that around 9/10 weeks the placenta is fully formed and will start to nourish the baby which can mean for a lot of people they can start to feel human again.
I used to get the odd day around this time where I would feel much better then gradually they became more often and by around 12 weeks I was feeling like a new person.
I know it's not easy but try and ride it out for a few days and see how you feel if you're still worried maybe try and book a scan.

shecamefromgreece · 04/12/2018 19:16

Sorry slow typing! Glad you spoke to her and are feeling a bit better.

suddenlypanicked · 04/12/2018 19:17

Out of 4 babies, I was sick as dog with the baby that died at 15 weeks gestation.
The other three were little or no sickness.

Lack of sickness does not indicate that a pregnancy has gone badly (although it's natural to think that).

I'm glad you spoke to your midwife, how great that you have her mobile number, I don't have that option.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 04/12/2018 19:30

Your midwife does indeed sound very lovely, she's done a great job of reassuring you and that's half the battle really. I could almost feel the waves of relief coming off you.

Hope that your pregnancy is stress-free from now on and that you're happy that all is well. Nausea is awful. I had the same advice also, to eat a bit more and a bit more often - even if I didn't feel like it.

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 04/12/2018 19:31

I had HG in both pregnancies and remember having a few occasions where the sickness would improve and I would worry. It always came back though! I’m sure it is just the combination of drugs/what you’ve eaten today. Try not to stress Flowers
