Im losing weight but I feel worse

Not really an AIBU but posting here because I don't know where else to put it?

In mid October I started SW. I was 17st 11lbs, and I felt disgusted in myself every time I looked in the mirror. I barely left the house. I decided I couldn't live like this anymore more. As of yesterday I'm 15st 12lbs. I've lost all this weight but I look in the mirror and I look the same. I've been completely devoted to this diet. But almost 2stone lighter and I look the same and feel worse. At least when I was binge eating I felt better. I just start crying when I see myself. I don't understand what's happening. Is it normal to lose weight but look no different. I'm 7 weeks in I thought I'd notice by now.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I took some photos at the beginning and at 4 weeks but they look pretty much the same. I'm going to take some more on Monday for my 8 week progress photo but I'm still in the same clothes and I just feel all bloated whenever I eat anything. Congratulations to all of you with the losses. I hope I see something sooner or later. I used to have issues with binge, purge, restrict but I've been fairly stable for the past few months. I think that might be why I'm punishing myself but I don't know.

I have lost four stone and around four dress sizes and sometimes I look at myself and see no difference. It’s when you look at yourself every day—it can be hard to notice the changes. Two stone is brilliant but I was reading an article recently about your body’s natural spatial awareness and how it can take a while to catch up with weight loss. Keep going—you’ll feel so much better in the long run. It’s just a long slog when you’re in the middle stages, I totally get it.

Amazing !!! What an incredible weight loss. However, body image/perception is also in the mind. Keep doing what you’re doing to lose weight for health reasons . But at the same time try and learn to love yourself. Try and be positive about what’s happening. Also realise that you’ve been using food to make you happy so it’s almost like coming off a drug. Of course you’re going to feel shit. Is there anything you enjoy doing that can fill that gap?

2 stone is amazing. My only concern is how fast you have done it. I have lost 8stone 9lbs so far since January. I suffered really bad gallbladder pain in September and apparently it was due to rapid weight loss. It had messed up my gallbladder function and I had to have an emergency removal. The pain was indescribable. At the point of removal, I’d lost 7 and a half stone. After some stern words from the hospital I realised I needed to slow it down and since September, the other 1 stone 9lbs has come off. That’s still classed as quick weight loss, but it’s slower for me than the rate I was going. Be careful. Remember, 1lb loss a week is still 3 stone 10lbs a year x

I meant the other 1 stone 2lbs not 1 stone 9lbs Blush

And think how much 2 stone means in terms of health - less strain on your heart, weight off your knees - please don't get discouraged. Put 2 stones weight of shopping into two carrier bags and walk to the corner and back, and you'll really appreciate what you've achieved when you get back and put the bags down - weight loss is so gradual, you don't feel the benefit.

If you’re eating “healthily” but still feeling bloated and generally unwell/sluggish/etc, it’s possibly you also have some form of food intolerance/IBS. If you have any other symptoms, it may be worth getting checked out. It could be something really simple like tomatoes, peas or onions that set you off?
