Posting for traffic ! Sorry for being over dramatic but I feel terrible. Does anyone know where I can get a malteasers advent calendar tonight or tomorrow?! My mum asked me to get her one on thursday, I said it would be fine as I knew I'd seen them in Iceland. I was at uni all day yesterday so I asked my partner to get one after work and he forgot and came straight home. I've been traipsing the shops today - 8 - to try and find one and they're sold out in all my local shops!!! I'm seeing her tomorrow, she hasn't asked about it but it will be awful if I don't have it!!

If you don't manage to find one, how about going to Hobbycraft and getting one of those wooden ones, you can decorate it and add some of those Malteser bunnies in each one.

I will 1984 thanks! I'm not Plain, Yorkshire :( I'm noting down everywhere being mentioned that I haven't tried already haha :)

Damn! Good luck for tomorrow!

WrongKindOfFace · 01/12/2018 21:53

I hope you find one but has your mum had one before? They don’t have malteasers in them, just shitty, cheap chocolate.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/12/2018 21:53

I got mine from Tesco.

WrongKindOfFace · 01/12/2018 21:53

So if it’s the maltesters she’s after buy her a big box. :)

Rogueone · 01/12/2018 21:53

The cooperative had a lot of advent calendars including Maltesers.

Tink2007 · 01/12/2018 21:54

Got ours in Poundland this morning :) A Malteasers, a Galaxy and a Dairy Milk one :)

SavageBeauty73 · 01/12/2018 21:55

Saw them in Tesco's earlier

CupoBlood · 01/12/2018 21:55

They had them in Asda yesterday

neveradullmoment99 · 01/12/2018 21:56

They have them on amazon for £10

Thingsthatgo · 01/12/2018 21:58

Maybe buy some big packs of fun sized Malteasers and a stocking or Santa hat to put 24 of them in. Use a marker pen to number them!

neveradullmoment99 · 01/12/2018 22:01

Tbh, advent calendars are a complete con. I bought my mum one - a dairy milk one and also a nice sized bag of quality streets. She was delighted. I am sure If you get her an advent calendar and a ginormous bag of maltesers it will totally make up for it.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 01/12/2018 22:10

Oh op they'll no doubt be in stock tomorrow with a hefty discount. My dh didn't get me one this year Shock I'll live

neveradullmoment99 · 01/12/2018 22:13

Actually, its surprising . I have often gone to find one the day after and there are none left. You may be lucky. If not get her a huge box of them. Im sure it matters to you more than it does to her.

MummytoCSJH · 01/12/2018 22:16

That's not a bad idea actually - she does prefer actual malteasers and although my Aldi had no chocolate ones they did have the ones you fill yourself! Plus she can use it again. If they don't have them in Sainsbury's I think I'll buy the truffles and do that with a full box of malteasers for 24/25 !! Thank you everyone.. you've saved me I think!

Could you buy a blank calendar eg with little drawers and pop a few malteasers in each drawer. Maybe add a little note now and then to make her laugh or tell her how good a mum she is.

This is such a lovely idea. If my DD did this I would be a snotty mess of being appreciated.
Ok you are a wonderful daughter Flowers

MrsTommyBanks · 01/12/2018 22:21

Ok - op

gaggiagirl · 01/12/2018 22:27

I went to B&M today and the advent shelves were bare! Thank goodness for amazon!

Hellly · 01/12/2018 22:39
