I'm 5 weeks post partum
Was admitted at 2.5 weeks with an infection. Hospital stay of 3 days.
I've spiked a temperature today of over 39 and have sought advice. Midwife told me to be seen ASAP in case of reinfection/sepsis.
DH is at work and not contactable (he works away) and I can't drive whilst sick, especially with tiny baby in the car.
I feel awful. Shivery. Exactly the same as when I had a fever/infection before. I knew something was up when I woke up this morning as my joints are painful (hips mainly).
Temp came down with paracetamol but is going back up again...
WWYD in this situation where you have nobody around to help you? Shame my GP can't see me, as they're across the road. Also meant to be registering DS at 4 and it's the last day we can do it...
