...to be pissed off about this?

I have booked in for a particular treatment on the recommendation of a friend who's had it done. I missed a Black Friday deal by 12 hours. Fair enough.

A new offer has now been posted (with no Ts&Cs) to say if a friend has had it done, mention their name when you contact the practitioner and you get a third off. I have messaged them to ask if I can take advantage of this as I have my friend's name in my original message. But they refused. Because I have booked my appointment and paid a small deposit.

I feel like I want to cancel now as I think this is petty and short sighted for a new small business and I'd prefer to go elsewhere on that basis. But am I being a total twat?

I've cancelled. Told them I thought it was disappointing and I didn't want to go ahead. Friend said to cancel too.

Not Botox... although it's on my list at some point Grin

Did they reply @puppymouse?

Yep. Asking me if I was sure as I'd lose my deposit and to say the offer had been taken down. Hmm

I said yes, it wasn't about the money and they've now said the offer only runs from the date it's posted but that it will now run in the new year so I could rebook then if I wanted.

I don't think it's malicious just a bit crap. Does it really make a difference if I have it done this month or next if a new client is at stake? I've just left it as I won't be going.
