I am not the pee troll

Just a very important disclaimer there and again here I’m not the pee troll.

However I am surprised by how many parents on this forum are stating that their children are being refused access to the bathroom during school hours and I think it’s something we as a forum could have an impact on. So my Aibu is this- what is a fair bathroom policy in school? And once we have a unified response Aibu to start a campaign about it?

Again not the pee troll.

The only person I’ve ever seen post about this is the pee troll.

RatRolyPoly · 29/11/2018 16:01

My kids aren't old enough for me to have experience of this, but I'll admit to having seen a few threads and having been concerned. Were they all troll threads then or is this really a thing?

If it's a thing I'm defo up for some sort of campaign; sounds positively draconian!

giftsonthebrain · 29/11/2018 16:32

I’ve yet to read one credible post. Please link.

I'm not the pee troll

Sounds like something the pee troll would say Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 29/11/2018 16:35

i would like a campaign againt pee trolls.

My Dc seem to have gone through school without having any pee problems with teachers so I count myself lucky.

The imaginary children are okay.

TokyoSushi · 29/11/2018 16:37

You are aren't you?!

LilyMumsnet · 29/11/2018 16:41

Hi OP

We don't think you're the pee troll but we do have a pee troll that literally gets off on this exact topic, so we're not too comfy leaving it up for them to read... (plus, because it's so similar, we can predict that there will be an awful lot of troll hunting and other users will be understandably twitchy) - we really hope you understand but we think it's best to take it down now.

Just to clarify, are we saying it's not normal to be refused access to toilets at school?

Phew! That is a relief.

RatRolyPoly · 29/11/2018 16:48

I'm really confused now; if this is something the happens I think we need to talk about it. There could be any number of perverts getting off on mumsnet at any given moment - should we shut the place down?

immortalmarble · 29/11/2018 16:50

We don’t reallt need to discuss children wetting themselves.

Hi again folks

We understand the points raised - we'll leave this up for now and keep an eye on things.

Just our usual warning, please do be careful how much you share with other posters - we can never fully vouch for anyone.

I read your thread greensleeves Flowers

You weren’t posting ‘about’ your DS wetting himself, it was about the school generally. The pee troll only posts about, well, pee.

I don’t know, I guess MN would be able to see you aren’t a troll. But it is pretty horrible that someone posts about young children wetting themselves for titillation and I do support those threads being taken down.

RatRolyPoly · 29/11/2018 16:58

That's so sad Greensleeves, I can see why people don't want to believe schools are doing this Flowers

SelpMeGod · 29/11/2018 17:01

Eric have a campaign but you have to have a diagnosed condition

www.eric.org.uk/right-to-go

The reason I am aware of Eric is because of Ds1 but Ds2 over did a lunch time drink and needed to go between lessons. He was punished for it. I said, screw it, go to the toilet and get the negative in your planner I don't care. The teacher cannot physically touch you to stop you. I should point out that he is an outstanding student, top grades, positive attitude toward learning.

I wrote a rather terse email as some teachers allowed access (they stand at the entrance to the toilets as no door means they can't lock it) and this one didn't allow access and wrote up their planners as they came out. He wasn't even late to his final lesson!

There was nothing in their rules or on the welcome to our school evening about toilet access.

Cue assembly the next day telling them they cannot access toilets unless they have a toilet pass which you need a doctor's letter to get.

So if you are just bursting to go, then wetting your pants in front of your peers is abiding by school rules.

It frustrates the hell out of me. I understand the everyone will do it mentality but you can't punish everyone for the idiots who dick about.

flowers @Greensleeves. It is shit isn't it?

But hey, you can leave a class for 30 minutes for a music lesson!

SelpMeGod · 29/11/2018 17:05

Argh, I meant Flowers @Greensleeves

Feefeetrixabelle · 29/11/2018 17:05

It is inspired by greensleeves thread. A number mentioned on there about bathrooms being locked during class time.

I swear I’m not a troll. I do want to do something to improve things for students. But there is no point in my starting a petition or rallying people to contact mps etc if there isn’t input from people as to what they consider an acceptable standard to be.

Surely this has always happened. We weren't allowed to go to the toilet during lessons at secondary school . Kids would ask and teacher would say do you have a medical note, if not then no. Like getting out a medical note wouldn't be embarrassing Confused Mainly it was due to kids messing around in the toilets, like flooding them, throwing wet toilet roll onto the ceilings, smoking in there it going for a smoke instead of to the toilets. Also often kids wouldn't come back if excused. --

It was tight to get to the toilet during break or the 5 mins between classes if your next class was opposite side of the school, but you have to prioritise yourself.

I can remember being allowed out of lessons at primary. Also meant you wouldn't be in a confided space this lots of others often being naughty or pushing.

Is that enjoyable reading pee troll, no not really !
