Okay. I know as soon as January comes along, we have the Easter eggs etc in the shops. Strolling round a well known shop this morning looking at the Christmas decorations, I turned into an aisle and was greeted with fluffy lambs and chicks, bunny ears, straw hats, shredded pastel tissue paper, glittery eggs.....

I was a bit Confused

Christ on a bike. They usually have the decency to wait till Stephen's Day. I'm still at the 'isn't it a bit early for Christmas?' stage!

I’ve seen a couple of shops with Easter stuff still out from last Easter - not chocolate but chicks and hats etc. Most of it is in clearance. I know for a fact my local home bargains still has a ton of unsold Easter things on sale and my local poundstretcher has reduce to clear Easter eggs near the till points. I’m sure they are dated Feb 2019 so they are obviously going to keep them out for sale until they expire.

That said Tesco near me had its Christmas aisle cleared of Christmas stuff and filled with Easter eggs in the second of January this year - I was pretty shocked at that as I was still getting over Christmas and new year and it was far to early to be thing about Easter eggs.

@ThanksForAllTheFish, yup, Tesco is the first place I see the Easter stuff appear every year and as you said, normally on January 2nd.
I can't help but think of Victor Meldrew, discusiing Christmas coming too early as he swore and said "They'll be draping tinsel around the Easter eggs shortly".
