For a 15/16 year old girl? Not my DD so not sure what is fashionable for this age group? Wow Brow? Are naked pallets still a thing?

Check out Sephora’s website for trendy make up.
Brands off the top of my head:
Fenty Beauty (rihanna’s)
HUDA beauty
Anastasia
Tarte
Morphe
Nars

As PP mentioned I second that, I also like beautybay.com (Jeffrey Stars makeup is on there and decent priced) they have other nice make up on there. Urban Decay have just released their cherry palette - I’ve asked DP to get me one for Xmas as it’s gorgeous and I still like their pallets! With you mentioning UD that could be an option too Smile

Debenhams have nice make up online & in store too x

QuestionableMouse · 26/11/2018 23:58

I'd go for a set of quality brushes.

Jeffree star blood sugar pallete is very popular. Also the plouise pallets. Pretty pricey though. Morphe are good. The recent jaclyn hill vault is a favourite of mine. The 35b colour burst is great for brights. And the boss mood pallete is so good for the price.

I'm working on a budget of about £20, I don't need much to show for that but would like it to be a coveted item Smile I'm into my make up but not 15 Grin

@QuestionableMouse I'm guessing not the right side of £20?!! X

maybe try an experience? They tend to have them on wowcher. You’re taught how to apply makeup professionally and given samples of the products.

I did a make up artistry course and the make up that was recommended was Makeup Revolution - the quality is amazing (on a par with top brands), but the prices are very good. Used by lots of professionals.

puzzledlady · 27/11/2018 09:10

Morphe is decent, used by loads of make up artists.

Sweetpea15 · 27/11/2018 23:35

MAC do a makeover thing - think it was like £50 and they put your makeup on and then you can choose £50 worth of products. We did it for my sister who used her makeover for a night out and got to pick her fave items to take home.

flintfoxy · 27/11/2018 23:38

Anything hourglass there is is a powder called dim you can get for 20 trial size but it's amazing

maggiecate · 27/11/2018 23:48

Morphe do palettes with 35 colours around the £20 mark - their colaborations with YouTube gurus are more expensive but the standard ones get good write ups as well. Lots of colours to experiment with.

A book about being a make-up artist would be nice.
