It's a parking one...sort of

Parked my car at a mates, round the corner from her at the end of her road.

No parking restrictions, plenty of space to park up and down the street. Parked outside someones house (as far forward as I could so as not to take up the whole front of their house).

Left my husbands car there overnight as me and friend went to a xmas do and dh refused to drop me due to footie being on. Came back today to find these delightful notes stuck on the carShock with sellotape. The giant colourful penis is on huge poster paper and was stuck all over the windscreen.Confused

Literally have no idea what I did wrong (other than staying too long for their liking). They dont own the road or the spaces, but clearly are fuming over it.

Wibu to go over this evening with a huge poster of my own, perhaps a giant fanjo with a xmas hat on Grin could tape it to their front door maybe?

I wonder if they never park outside other peoples homes? I mean clearly it's unfair according to them. Its mental...I've had people park outside my home for over 2 weeks before, but they aren't my spaces so of course i would never complain.

Send them a very rude Xmas card...
And put live you too... Inside...

MissesBloom · 25/11/2018 21:40

I am a little tempted to report to the police and make them aware I've done it. Glad it was dark so my two kids didnt see the giant clocks all over Dhs car.

I dont know much about the area as my friend only moved in a month ago. She did warn me that the estate is a not snotty though, all cars were Audi bmw or Mercedes 4x4s on drives and in the road. Its a new build estate and properties are quite pricey.

I would make sure you park there every time you visit your friend from now on. Stick the saved giant picture of the penis back on your car and put a note through their door,m saying I kept the picture from last time so you didn’t have to waste your time making a new one. Will be back in 2 weeks, any damage to my car whilst parked on a public highway without parking restrictions will be recorded on dashcam and will be reported to the police. Thanks

Bigonesmallone3 · 25/11/2018 21:48

That's so mean (mildly amusing) but mean.. u pay ur road tax! U can park wherever the bloody hell u like..
I think I would avoid parking there again tho they're possibly not the full ticket and I wouldn't want them near my car again..

Ninoo25 · 25/11/2018 21:50

Oh and I live near to shopson the first road where parking restrictions don’t apply so I’m used to people parking outside my house all day, every day. We have 2 cars, only 1 fits up driveway. I only get pissed off if they block the road or park over my driveway therefore blocking us in (or out). I definitely don’t put any notes never mind giant dicks on people’s cars!

  • Disclaimer if you do block me in my driveway though I will totally lose my shit as that’s the height of rudeness!
Maelstrop · 25/11/2018 21:52

Careful they don't escalate. Knock and ask if they saw, say you're downloading the motion activated dashcam footage later, although saying you've parked outside their house totally gives it away- idiots. Or if you're feeling brave, knock, Reiterate dashcam footage so they're not tempted to damage the car and remind them that anyone can park anywhere on the road and they don't own it. Wankers.

MrsDylanBlue · 25/11/2018 21:55

This happens outside our house - a lot and we have to just accept it. If the car is taxed then the house owner hasn’t got a leg to stand on.

MissesBloom · 25/11/2018 21:56

Ninoo that would be brilliant...can just Imagine them running out to slap another dick on my windscreen only to find their original piece of artwork looking back at them!

I will 100% park there again, every time I visit. I'm not overly scared of the unhinged ones (as long as dcs arent with me) I can give as good as I get. I will ensure my dashcam is in the car next time though. Must arrange a girly night with my mate next week for round 2!

Although - someone parked a white transit van outside our house for the 6 week school holidays meaning we couldn’t park or wash our cars.

Someone spray painted a massive penis on the side Grin

MunchMunch · 25/11/2018 21:57

Agree you've got to park there every time you visit. I've had two parking confrontations and both times I've been parked on no restriction roads but the home owner/tenant have been awkward and tried speaking to me like shite and threaten to damage my car/punch me etc but now out of principal I make sure I park in the same spot. I won't be bullied so I stick to my guns and that's just tough shite for them!

AtlasShrugged · 25/11/2018 21:59

I am a little tempted to report to the police and make them aware I've done it. oh do get a grip. The police aren't there to deal with hurt feelings.

As most pp said in an area with no restrictions you can park where you like. That said it can be irritating because some insurance policies specify that you have to park outside your house, so I can understand their dismay.

buckeejit · 25/11/2018 22:00

@MrsDylanBlue that's awful

MrsDylanBlue · 25/11/2018 22:02

buckeejit

Which part?!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 25/11/2018 22:02

Unleashing my inner detective, those notes were written by two different people. The original note by person A and the subsequent note/artistic representations by person B - the handwriting is very different and the pen used is different. Makes me wonder if person B is a teenager of person A or something.

I'd probably knock and apologise. My husband left the car there, went for some drinks and obviously being responsible, couldn't drive it home and is a little worse for wear hence you came to collect it. Unfortunately, the car has some damage on the windscreen and do they know who may have added the penis notes? When they deny it, it's ok, you have a motion activated dash cam fitted and (although admittedly you don't know how to use it!) but once your husband is back in the land if the living you'll download the footage to find out who to send the repair bill to...

Was it you that did the spray paint?Grin

so I can understand their dismay

Dismay at someone parking on the street, where they are perfectly entitled to do so? Confused

MissesBloom

Not me no Grin

It was a school dinner delivery van so they just left it there for 6 weeks.

I was fuming.

ivykaty44 · 25/11/2018 22:07

I know someone who was parking on the road and then cycling 5 miles to work.

Someone left notes on his car in the same manner

He parked again and popped a note inside the windscreen

To whoever is leaving notes on my car
I have one note, if another is left it’s construed as harassment and with two pieces of evidence I can take you to court. The car is now fitted with motion cameras

Kind regards

MissesBloom · 25/11/2018 22:07

Definitely two different people, dh is adamant it's a teen who did the willies. I think a male, as they seem quite detailed Grin

Dog shit through their letterbox is the only way forward IMO.

(Obviously joking, but sometimes wish I was actually ballsy enough.)

MissesBloom · 25/11/2018 22:10

@MrsDylanBlue it takes a true arsehole to park for 6 weeks outside someone else's house. I'd have been annoyed too.

OP posts:
MrsDylanBlue · 25/11/2018 22:10

A neighbours friend once parked her car outside our house for two weeks and they all went on holiday which IMO is just inconsiderate.

I was going to go out and say something when they got back but her wing mirror was knocked off so I didn’t want to cast doubts over whether we had done it Grin

ivykaty44 · 25/11/2018 22:11

Atlas you sound like a right judgy knob

MissesBloom · 25/11/2018 22:21

I'm just so glad it's not my road...we never have any real parking problems. The worst ive had is people walking up my drive chucking soiled nappies in my wheely bin, but to be honest I cant get overly worked up about it. I reckon its school mums on their way past.

I can just imagine what its like to live next to these weirdos
