To ask your recommendations for thin, easily greasy looking hairs

Just realised how horrible that sounds! I would be really grateful if you could share your product recommendations for the best shampoo and conditioner you might have found for fine/thin hair which goes limp/greasy looking very quickly after being washed. Mine has always been a bit like this and the Body Shop shampoo which was great seems to be impossible to get hold of now. All recommendations welcome from any price ranges. Thank you!

Actually if you google "dry shampoo hair loss" there are a lot of hits Shock

The not washing your hair in shampoo thing is bollocks.
My XP did it for a year and his hair was grim - it held onto the grease and felt vile to put your fingers through. It also stuck out from his head in all directions.

He went back to using shampoo and he looked like a different man. Much better. Although in many other ways he is a cunt. Smile

@Digestive28 you aren't supposed to put conditioner all over your head/scalp.. just the ends

fizzywatergulpgulp · 01/12/2018 03:56

@Digestive28 thanks for the tip. I now haven't conditioned my hair in 3 days and it's transformed. I was only using conditioner on the ends but it seems this is what was making it fluffy. I can air dry it now without it being fluffy and flyaway. I can't believe I'm in my thirties and only just discovered this!!

Be warned dry shampoo gives me dermatitis on my scalp OP! I do have quite sensitive skin anyway, but it’s pretty bad at times. (Still use it occasionally as I have two tiny children and a greasy mop so get desperate and would rather lumps of skin on my scalp fall out than have greasy hair Blush)

Digestive28 · 01/12/2018 09:02

@fizzywatergulpgulp I know the feeling. It took having a child with sensitive skin to realise less is more with products to then realise they may have got it from me and worth applying principles to myself.
