To wonder if it’s the breastfeeding that makes me feel like this??

I am totally wiped out. DS is 1 year and still has roughly maybe 7 feeds in any 24 hours - sometimes more. Usually about 2 or 3 of these are at night but he sleeps in the bed with me so don’t think it’s necessarily lack of sleep as we don’t really wake up properly for each feed.

I eat and eat and eat and still feel as though I’m losing weight (haven’t got much to lose so not a good thing) and don’t just feel tired - I feel wiped out! It’s an effort to walk us the stairs some days and my skin is dull and dry etc

Could this be down to actual breastfeeding or just the down side of having a one year old??

I’ve tried to offer food before boob but it doesn’t work Sad
Even tried to offer a cup of cows milk today when he was asking for a feed but he wouldn’t take it from me!

I don’t want to give up but I was hoping he’d only be having 2 or 3 feeds a day at this point!

If your mood is very low then your tiredness could be due to depression?

I'm still feeding my nearly 2 year old and it doesn't cause me any tiredness

So yeah, thanks for your unpleasantness AnotherEmma I asked, and you shoot back with that, nice behaviour!

AnotherEmma I didn't even say that, at all, so completely unprovoked!

7 feeds sounds totally normal to me.

And a breastfed baby doesn't need top ups. Hmm Just normal weaning will suffice!
