I hadn't realised that not long after sinking the "upskirting" bill, he also tried to sink one allowing an international conference of women MPs to use the Commons chamber on a day when the Commons wasn't sitting.

After the govt made it clear the bill would be submitted by another route, he made it about an amendment so only parliamentarians could use the chamber. But, you know, if he were genuine, he could have asked for that amendment before the original motion was submitted.
I'm delighted to say the women MPs did indeed get to use the chamber.
