Or should I wait a bit longer?

Oh, I'm jealous! Had the worst week ever; finally left abusive exP last weekend after he shouted and threatened me in front of our young DD. Just went round to my DMs earlier for her birthday - homemade cake and presents in hand - and had to sit whilst the whole family berated me for leaving him and guilt tripped me about how I was going to afford to live now. Got home after holding back the tears all night, put DD to bed and thought I'd order a cheap bottle of wine from Deliveroo. To realise I'd spent the last of my bloody money on her bloody presents. If I didn't laugh I'd cry!

Have one for me everyone WineWine

Ah but you Have something better wanta, you have a life without an abusive ex. Sod the wine, that's a million times better.

WantAPlaceToCallMyOwn · 23/11/2018 21:15

You're right Bluntness - sure things will seem brighter soon.

So sorry for the thread kill and pity parade, OP! Enjoy your evening Smile

CheshireChat · 23/11/2018 21:29

Bluntness100 that's spot on Smile.

I've actually been hankering for a glass of wine or something for the past couple of weeks, but both keep forgetting to buy some and DP didn't fancy any so the bottle would go to waste*.

*I hardly ever drink, last time was sometime at the beginning of summer!

iamlordvoldemorte · 23/11/2018 21:36

Would just like to add it's never too early, it's always 5pm somewhere in the world and after the shittest week ever I'm 3/4 down a bottle of wine. Very needed.

If you live near me wanta I’ll gladly throw a bottle around to you. I’m coming down with bottles of drink. Actually, if you live anywhere near Belfast I’ll send one in a taxi.

WantAPlaceToCallMyOwn · 23/11/2018 22:25

I'm about as far as you can get PositivelyPERF, but thank you so much! I'm snuggled up with my DD now in bed and feeling a little better. Happy to be free from the snoring, sniffing, fidgeting waste of oxygen Smile who knows, might win the lottery tomorrow...

Thanks OP ThanksWine

So sorry I can’t help, wantA. I hope snuggling up to your gorgeous child, that you are keeping safe, gives you more happiness than any bottle of booze. You’ve done it. You’re now on the start of a journey that will help your child to see that abuse is not acceptable. Well done. 💐
