NC for thread. Just that really. Hated the massive norks all my life. Now I am financially in a position to have them reduced and am wondering is it too late? Will it make a difference to my life? FWIW I am quite sporty, within the bounds of the massive norks. Blush

I was the same as pineapple choose to wait until after I’d breastfed my kids but then there never seemed to be a good time either financially or with the various things going on in our lives so just before my 50th with eldest heading to uni and younger starting A levels it all just seemed right.

Do it, I did it a year ago best decision I ever made and it took me 10 years to build up the courage.

I went from a H cup to a DD (I’m not small boned).

Definitely recommend it, my procedure and recovery was totally painless. They have grown back a bit with weight increase but they are a much better shape and no longer point south!

Seriously, go for it OP! It really does make an amazing impact to your life! I am trying to convince my aunt who's 60 to get them done, she hates how big hers are. It is the best decision I made, others tried to talk me out of it, but they don't live with big boobs...

Mine went from 34GG to a 34dd/e. There's only so much they can take off and they assess it according to your frame too. But now they just feel much better, I would have gone to 34c if I could have. I know I'm younger but you're never too old for this kind of surgery, it makes a huge difference to your life...

The real self website is a great resource and will help you to prepare yourself. Search for U.K. breast reduction 50 years to get experiences of people in diary form. Pick your surgeon carefully. Mine is/was an NHS surgeon who specialises in breast cancer surgery and reconstruction. Well known for being a perfectionist and he was! Said he did the private work as he genuinely loves doing what he does. He was very knowledgeable and realistic on what could be achieved. I went from 32H to 32DD. Initial month was sore/itchy/restrictive but by 3 months gone it was like they’d never been there. No issues, retained nipple sensitivity and 9 month on my scars are almost unnoticeable. I was on holiday in the summer and wore a bikini for the first time ever and no-one noticed the scars!
