We've got stuff in our freezer that was frozen well before expiration date but is now out of date... Would it be okay to eat? I'm talking things like burgers bought raw then frozen, raw chicken breasts and Sausages

I found a packet of crumpets at the bottom of our chest freezer the other day that were 10 years past their use by date. You have to understand that being an expat this was like Indiana Jones finding The Ark Of The Covenant. So we ate them. We survived.

defrost in fridge, we get out night before normally. Don't worry about expiry dates.If meat is red you can relax a bit if still not fully defrosted as long as you cook thoroughly with white meat ensure fully defrosted
