You know the one I mean? with hands up. I really can't stand it. Not sure why really. AIBU?

I hate this one Hmm too. I know it's only an emoji but it makes me want to punch it.

Worryingly, I tried to text somebody on a different phone recently so didn't know how to use to emojis. I found I was struggling to convey the tone of my message without them...

Mookatron · 14/11/2018 14:03

I hate the crying with laughter emoji too. He's obviously a complete yawping cock-end.

Cattenberg · 14/11/2018 14:04

I never understood the biscuits. They didn't seem to mean No Comment, so they were just annoying.

Mummyoflittledragon · 14/11/2018 14:06

I don’t like this one 😉 much prefer Wink

Blush and Grin are far better too.

💋 Dh sometimes sends this to me to mean kisses. I always respond that I like his lipstick.

Deffo need a hugs emoji.

Dahlietta · 14/11/2018 14:06

I don't like it either. It doesn't really look like a shoulder shrug, more like she's holding an invisible heavy object over her head. I also dislike the fact that it isn't a little yellow circle with a face in it. That's how expression emojis should be.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 14/11/2018 14:08

I can't even see it. Guess it's incompatible with my tablet for whatever reason.

blackchina · 14/11/2018 14:10

I hate it too. Everytime I see it, I think it's a bloomin' fairy (with little wings!) Hmm

CassandraCross · 14/11/2018 14:11

Ellisandra what's the funny square thing in your post supposed to symbolise? I often see it and it confuses the hell out of me.

blackchina · 14/11/2018 14:13

This is one of my faves. A nice, gentle, friendly smiley one. >>> 😊

Ellisandra · 14/11/2018 14:19

In my 13:45 post Cassandra?
It’s a thumbs up.
I think sometimes when you have emojis where you can choose the skin tone, the tone is shown as a separate box!

shearwater · 14/11/2018 14:22

I love that one. It's a Gallic shrug.

dawnacorns · 14/11/2018 14:23

I agree with you mummyoflittledragon about everything you said! The lips one is a bit odd isn't it. Reminds me of lipstick on a collar.

dawnacorns · 14/11/2018 14:24

yes I like that smiley one best too blackchina

dawnacorns · 14/11/2018 14:25

To be fair shearwater I think I would be quite irritated by people doing 'gallic shrugs' in real life too Grin

blackchina · 14/11/2018 14:25

It cute isn't it Dawn?! 😊

Flowersfever · 14/11/2018 14:47

YADNBU. I cannot fucking stand it. It angers me so much.

halfwitpicker · 14/11/2018 14:48

Me too. Its very trashy for some reason

Fishlaar · 14/11/2018 15:04

I don't see too well so thought it was a little Yoda-like character. The raised hands look like pointy ears to me. Oops. I wonder what else I'm missing.

PivotPivotPIVOTTT · 14/11/2018 15:09

Mummoflittledragon

There is a hugs emoji 🤗🤗

tobee · 14/11/2018 15:17

I hate the crying with laughter emoji too and refuse to use it like anyone cares. Which is strange coz it's one of my favourite things to do in real life

🤷🏻‍♀️

CassandraCross · 14/11/2018 15:20

Ellisandra thanks, that explains it, it's been bugging me for ages what that square could mean!

thenightsky · 14/11/2018 15:27

I didn't know they were meant to be shrugs. I thought they were little monkeys with sticky out ears.

dawnacorns · 14/11/2018 16:39

💁‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️👩🏼‍💼👩🏻‍🚒👩🏾‍🚀👸🏾🧛🏼‍♀️🧝🏻‍♀️💇🏻‍♀️ why no red haired ones eh? I find that annoying.

nevermorelenore · 14/11/2018 16:46

I hate Hmm too. It usually accompanies some really spurious reasoning or horrible sarcasm.

My SIL is the most passive aggressive person in the world and has just discovered laugh-cry. Now every fecking text and Facebook post has a row of the little buggers.
