4 stone, slimming world, took a year.

I still have 2.5 to lose but I've hit a bump in the road and maintained for the last 4-5 months instead of losing. I've stopped putting as much effort in and I really need to get back into it and finish the job.

Plant based diet, significantly reduced alcohol, lots of yoga. I don't count calories or anything like that. I am maintaining quite easily and happily at the moment.

19 lbs over 12 weeks with Slimming World, still a way to go, but tablets I take do promote weight gain, so at times its a struggle but worth it.

Calorie counting app and I got a Fitbit to make sure I’m walking enough every day. Also do HIIT workouts and Zumba workouts on YouTube at home

Overall - 7 stone over 10 years

Last chunk of it: 4 stone, took 17 months with Slimming World.

Kept it off until pregnancy (18 months). Now 37 weeks and gained it back but know it'll come off again next year.

Lost 3 stone in a year by being forced to go gluten free
Eventually regained a stone of it

3st, most of which I lost in just under a year, the last 8lbs took forever! (Well, an additional 6 months, so almost a year and a half in total) I used WW, which worked well for me and gave me a healthy eating template for life. I also used it to lose the 18lbs I'd packed on during pregnancy and again, worked well. The last few lbs are always a slog for me. I up my exercise a little but I'm so busy it's hard to get meaningful exercise, but I walk whenever I can and run/yoga if I get time. Good luck!

Lost three stones,
Did it through Slimming world,
Took about 2 years (I never stuck rigidly to it).

Also I took up running using the couch to 5k.

I’ve not been to or followed Slimming world for over two years now and I’ve kept the weight off.

  3. Stopped eating cakes,sweets and biscuits,plus tried to keep below 1800 calories per day. I know that sounds like a lot to expect to lose weight on,but I have a lot to lose (nearly 10 stone in total,so still got another 6 and half to go) but after working out my basic metabolic rate,I figured that I should still lose a small amount of weight per week on that amount. And I have. OK,there have been a couple of occasions when I've lost nothing,but the rest of the time it's been between 1 and 3 pounds per week.

8 and a half stone so far since January this year. Gone from a size 26 to a 16. Still want to lose some more and get down to a 12. I walked everywhere. Do my 10,000 steps a day and workout dvds. Plus limiting myself to 1200 calories a day. I did make myself ill 2 months ago though and my gallbladder function was completely messed up due to rapid weight loss. It’s been taken out now...

I used myfitness pal. For me it was an eye opening experience as I realised how many calories was my "small" bowl of pasta or my tiny salad with olive oil and it helped to make changes. I also tried ww online and really liked it. Lost probably 4/5 kilos with each in 5/6 months. I was really looking for a life change more than an actual diet and that's what those 2 apps did for me. Now I need to put on weight and really struggle but that's a whole different story
