We are skint. OH has just spent £150 on a phone. That is 10x our food budget!! His old phone broke so I suggested he check out a cheaper contract on Tesco, mine is £7 a month, phone included. He said he was doing that, the purchase needed a bank code to be authorised... Since without a phone he had it texted to mine. I saw the amount. £150!!

He needs a larger data package as he needs Google maps for work and uses his phone but you can get that without paying anything upfront for a phone! We will be able to afford it- have a little in savings. But what the fuck?? I check the financial situation with him before buying new shoes for our DD, we are that level of skint. And he's just bought a £150 phone!

AIBU to be outraged, is he BU to have bought it without running it by me?

He can get a Huawei Mate 20 Pro on Vodafone with a £29 UFC for around £50pm. That's with 42GB data and their entertainment pack (Spotify Premium, Now TV, Sky Sports Mobile or Netflix included in price). I think it has some extra roaming or international benefits too?

I'm they do cheaper bundles on it too but I think that's quite good
