To think this isn’t good enough (Cervix stuff)

In December 2017 I had CIN2 which was successfully treated. They also found an ectropion and blamed my bleeding after sex on this. The ectropion was also treated.

In June this year I had a clear smear test and clear HPV result.

Last month I started bleeding heavily after sex again. Went to GP today who examined me and said I have an ectropion. Said I don’t need a colposcopy or anything but when pushed said he would let me see an gynaecologist soon. (Meaning within 3 months).

This isn’t soon. Am I suppose to suffer bleeding and pain for 3 months? AIBU to think you can’t rule out cancer by site either? I would have preferred an urgent appointment. Sad

Can you contact your gynaecologist direct?

I had my first lot of treatment through a private hospital, I now am going through the NHS so don’t have a gynaecologist I can contact.

I don’t mind suffering the pain and heavy bleeding if it’s unlikely to be cancer. My worry is it is cancer and they are ignoring it for 3 months.

I guess they are seeing a clear smear test/ no HPV/ having been treated previously and successfully for CIN 2 as me having low risk. I also had an ectropion that was biopsied at that time and found just to be an ectropion.

But to me I have had CIN 2 previously which is why I’m worried about cancer now.
