Sorry posted before done. Call without delay in case you need to go in for an appointment/ get meds etc. The earlier in the day the better...dont want to be doing that at teatime/bedtime etc.

Imsoimso · 10/11/2018 13:12

Let us know what the GP says.

Mouseville65 · 10/11/2018 13:25

Why are people so fucking rude!!! Just be helpful or shut up.

Mumsnet used to be mums supporting each other, now it seems to be unhappy women taking their angst out on anyone who asks for advice!

OP I hope your LO is ok and the nasty comments don't deter you from using the forum in the future.

My 12 month old had the jab on Thursday at 11am and the fever was finally gone by Friday teatime (6pm). His poos were also runny and stinky. Sounds like your little one just had the side effects a bit longer but if in doubt it does no harm to call.

My ds had his last month, he was unwell for about 4 days. Some react more than others I guess.

RosieAndJimDoTheOldRagDoll · 10/11/2018 13:43

Ds had a fever for a few days after his jabs, it unfortunately also coincided with teething so he was very miserable.

38° wouldn't concern me for a 12 month old, but lack of liquids is one to watch. Try watered down juice and ice lollies to tempt him. Is he still having milk?

anxiousmotherof1 · 10/11/2018 13:46

@RosieAndJimDoTheOldRagDoll the funny thing is he only wants to drink water ! Very little milk but he will
Gulp
Down water

If he is gulping down water that's great. Try not to worry too much about him being of his food and milk. Water is the important one. Just keep offering little and often but not making a fuss if he doesn't want anything.

Are you alternating between ibuprofen and paracetamol?

stickytoffeepuddingandicecream · 10/11/2018 15:56

You are right to get him checked as you are doing, I'm just saying my little one was off for four days too so it isn't unheard of. He was crying (he doesn't cry much normally), off his food and felt hot over them 4 days. My mum is a nurse though who has done baby clinics in the past so I'm probably more relaxed about these things, she just said "it'll be his jabs". If he wasn't drinking water I'd have been worried though.
