My one can pinpoint my age almost exactly...... it’s A-ha at the Royal Albert Hall.

Steve Hackett (ex Genesis guitarist) Edinburgh 1979, followed by Peter Gabriel later the same year. I was 16 and a big prog rock fan.

Jimi Hendrix? Bloody Hell.
I have no idea what is my answer to the question. Likely to be 10,000 Maniacs fronted by Oingo Boingo, in about 1987. But could be wrong. (Am obviously not British born). Probably around same time I went to a Rolling Stones gig (terrible acoustics & beautiful tattoos of the motorbikers are my main memories... I ran into my brothers unexpectedlly).

👋to all the other Depeche Mode-rs.

My first was Depeche Mode on their Black Celebration tour which I think was 1986. I remember it well, especially the first booming notes making me shiver.

Sting - at the Royal Albert Hall. This was just after The Police when he was touring with some brilliant jazz musicians.

Weirdly, I had a Saturday job in the same area and he came into the shop and bought a packet of extra strong mints! I resisted the urge to tell him that I would see him later.

TattiePants · 10/11/2018 18:50

It was either Erasure or Bros at Whitley Bay Ice Rink in the late 80's.

LizzyMac40 · 10/11/2018 19:14

Runrig at the Hammersmith Odeon, as it was known in November 1991. Seen them countless times since, including their Farewell concert in Stirling in August.

Spice Girls at Wembley. I was around 9ish. My mum let me have the day off school and we got a coach there and back!
